Not every exhibition needs white walls and strip lighting. Some work needs a little more character around it. The Barn at Creacombe Farm has become a quietly sought-after space for artists, makers and creative groups looking for somewhere with genuine atmosphere.
The scissor-frame roof draws the eye upward, the light shifts beautifully through the day, and the setting — tucked into the Devon countryside — means that a visit here becomes an occasion in itself, not just a quick stop between errands. At 30 metres in length, there’s real scope for ambitious installations, mixed-media shows, sculpture, textile work, photography and painting.
The barn has a wonderful ability to work around the art rather than compete with it. We’re happy to accommodate both private viewings and open exhibition days, and can discuss flexible hire arrangements depending on the length and nature of your show. Parking is available in the courtyard and on the lane, so visitors arriving from further afield won’t have any trouble.
