Photographers know that the right location makes the difference between a good shot and a great one. The Barn at Creacombe Farm offers the kind of natural, unfussy backdrop that works across a huge range of styles — editorial, commercial, portrait, lifestyle, product, fashion, engagement and more.

The scissor-frame roof gives depth and drama without trying too hard. Natural light pours through the large windows, shifting across the day in ways that a studio simply can’t replicate. And beyond the barn doors, you’ll find our gardens and grounds — with a lake, mature trees, and the kind of wildlife and countryside backdrop that Devon does so well. It’s the sort of setting that makes engagement photos genuinely special, rather than just posed.

The barn itself is 30 metres long, so there’s space to set up multiple areas or move through a shoot without feeling hemmed in. The kitchenette at one end means your team can keep the tea going, and there’s a cloakroom in the entrance hall for getting changed. Parking is straightforward — 15 spaces in the courtyard and more on the lane.

We also have a selection of props available to use, which can save you a trip and add something a little unexpected to your shots. Just let us know what you have in mind when you enquire. We welcome bookings by the half day or full day, and are happy to discuss early-morning or late-evening access for shoots that need a particular light.
